In a strategic step toward strengthening the university environment and upgrading infrastructure, the President of University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, inaugurated the “Science and Technology Parks Department,” which is considered one of the vital departments supporting the system of innovation and knowledge transfer.

The department aims to strengthen direct links between the university, society, and the labor market by investing in scientific research outputs and transforming them into practical applications and entrepreneurial projects that contribute to sustainable development. This is achieved through qualifying students and graduates, supporting entrepreneurs, incubating ideas and technological projects, and building an integrated environment for innovation.

The President of the University also toured the corridors of the new department, which includes several active specialized units:

Technology Incubator: for hosting startup projects and providing technical mentorship.

Training and Employment Unit: for developing students’ skills and directly connecting them with the labor market.

Scientific Outputs Marketing Unit: specialized in marketing patents and research prototypes.

Entrepreneurship Unit: dedicated to promoting a culture of entrepreneurship, supporting the establishment of startups, and building business models.
